Steelworks was founded in 1994 by Marco Julien, a hands-on business owner who understood the value of having the right tools—and the right team—for the job. Through dedication, innovation, and a reputation for quality, Marco built Steelworks into one of Northern Ontario’s leading structural steel fabricators.
Today, under new ownership, Steelworks is honoring that legacy while looking firmly toward the future. With new leadership, expanded capacity, and a growth-focused mindset, we’re building on a rock-solid foundation to serve even more industrial and mining clients across the region and beyond..
From humble beginnings in a 5,000 sq. ft. facility with just four vehicles, Steelworks has grown into a 35,000+ sq. ft. multi-shop operation supporting national and international customers. Our projects range from small-scale custom components to structural steel packages exceeding 600 tons.
As a CWB-certified W47.2 facility, we maintain a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary workforce that includes draftspeople, fabricators, certified welders, and industrial painters. We bring deep experience in complex fabrication, erection, and the installation and maintenance of overhead cranes—making us uniquely equipped to serve demanding industrial environments.
